More Details ...
An exclusive Varsity Dragon Boat Race day suitable for 30 participants or more (plus spectators) will begin with a welcome at one of the most prestigious rowing clubs on the Thames.  A traditional rowing breakfast is optional - the start time will be dependent on the tidal high water. 4 hours minimum is required for the whole event.  Crews undergo a full safety briefing from their allocated "cox" followed by an on-water training session with their "cox".  Crews return to the clubhouse for a pre-race briefing before assembly at the official Varsity Race start line.

Safety boats will be in attendance and other launches may be booked if required for spectators. This enables spectators to follow the racing to the finish line 4 miles and 374 yards upstream. The London race is staged on the exact course of the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race.  The official Boat Race record of 16mins 39secs set by Cambridge in 1996 is currectly challenged by the fastest time in a dragon boat of 29mins 32secs set by a team from Fresenius Kabi.

This formula can be transferred to other suitable venues in the UK.

Following the race, crews recover with refreshments at the clubhouse, where a trophy and medal presentation will be made.  This is suitable for companies wishing to include an activity in their conference or celebration programme.
It is a great corporate day out.
